Blog

I am Boy Acads of the blogosphere. RJ Naguit in real life. I’ve been blogging for three years already. Five if you factor in my nonsense blog posts as a kid, featuring my daily rants and childish thoughts. For the past three years, I managed Lieu Jval, my first ever pseudo-successful blog which won several awards such as Filipino Blog of the Week in The Composed Gentleman’s Blog. Then, it died after being suspected of distributing malwares and viruses.

Now I’m starting anew with Ang Kwaderno ni BoyAcads. The title is simple a play between the term “Boy” and “Acads” short for academics. It would have sounded better in English though, The Notebook of an Academic Guy. Nevertheless, I choose BoyAcads since it seems authentically Filipino to put “Boy” before a word that fits them the most. An examples of which are Boy Singot, Boy Kulangot, and Boy Taba just to name a few.

Last December 21,2009, I decided to revamp my blog, changing everything from its content to concept to suit the interest of readers and to reach out to those 4th year high school students who I know  are very anxious to be in college. Thus I have come up wit new sections: School Tips, Tipid Tips, Campus Tour and U-Speak

In School Tips, I plan to share with you some ideas regarding academic life, it may be ways on dealing with professors, exam taking strategies, and time management.

Tipid Tips is a section that will focus on maximizing use of money by lessening expenses. Here, I will share some places where you would find the lowest prices from books to clothing to everyday pa-print of assignments.

Campus Tour from the name itself will give you the sneak preview on the different universities/colleges/ institutions. This is mainly dedicated to the incoming college freshmen students who are still clueless on what universities they are to apply.

U-Speak is a media wherein the students of the University Belt can share their opinions regarding issues and current events.

On December 26,2009, I included the U-Trip section where events, programs, etc. of different universities and schools will be highlighted. This will also feature different prominent places the students of U-Belt frequent to ex. bars, chill out places, restaurants, etc.

Soon, I will also establish a Grievance Desk section where readers, such as yourself, may be able to send letters to me, and I, with the best of my knowledge will try to answer them based on my viewpoint.

This site is currently affiliated with AcademicClinic.com and you can look forward to my contributions there at Academic-Clinic.com sharing some light on the intricacies of UST life.
