I’ve always been a fan for Lady Gaga’s artistry, may it be in her music or videos. They have always been what I could best describe as “a feast for the eyes” because of the variety and richness of her ideas which others may find weird.
If you already find her Bad Romance and Paparazzi videos disturbing, well, think again! This music video will feature scenes not suitable for minors with clips of her doing sex, swallowing a rosary, using a cross as a design for her panty. I’m guessing the video will cause a stir in the Catholic church soon.
In my opinion, her latest music video entitled Alejandro will definitely whack your brains out and will surely leave your jaw dropping as you watch the most scandalous, yet classy music video from Lady Gaga. The backup dancers were so gay. Yes, I’m still a fan.
Here’s her Alejandro video. What do you think?
i thought it was pretty interesting. i just think she takes herself waaay too seriously. i kinda miss the days when music videos were just music videos- free from complications and subliminal messages. haha
ReplyDeleteI liked her other videos but not this one... I thought it was unnecessarily edgy and the Catholic symbolism is uncalled for... not as enjoyable as Paparazzi.
ReplyDelete@ nyl - yeah, but i've read that all of her videos have some sort of subliminal message, but the alejandro one was the most concrete
ReplyDelete@ glentot- key word: unecessarily edgy. :)
i heard she was trying to send out a message that the catholic church should accept gay people. hence the mix of religious images and super duper gay dance moves.
ReplyDeletemaybe she's optimistic or maybe she's naive but she should know those two are like a printed shirt and plaid pants: they will never go together. haha
but whatever the reason is, I still consider the video blasphemous.
