Up to now, I still can't believe that the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe didn't even get a place in this year's UAAP Cheerdance Competition. I was like, "OWWWWSSS?!?" when my classmates told me this year's competition turnout since I kind of expected that they have a bigger chance of winning this year as I got to watch their performance during the pep rally. (video above).
Their costume had to be a factor. It made their dance look...err, somewhat messy and unsynchronized. Plus, I don't think the bold colors of the girl's skirt - yellow and black complemented the gold traces in the uniform. At least on the bright side, they didn't wear those hideous wigs and their Jollibee-inspired costumes.
The last pyramid was brilliant. It really got a lot of attention and I won't be surprised if another squad does that or something similar to that next year. However, their transition to that pyramid wherein they waved red and yellow cloths was too highschool-ish. We could have done better if we were in their place. I just have to say that.
I was just reading some comments on UST's perfomance in Youtube, here's one that really caught my attention:

Sa lahat ng nabibitter s UST kahit na natalo na kami, hintay lang kayo mananalo rin kami.Panapanahon lang yan.
