Beatificus

“No...not now…”, said the limping man as he walked away from his Master.

There was stillness. A blank white space replaced the earth. Skies opened and heavens unlocked their bolted golden gates. A spectrum of blinding light covered the valleys, hills, and fields while seas glistened like finely cut sapphires of precious value. He turned around and covered his squinting eyes, covered them with his calloused hands while feathers glowing with purity fell on to the ground.

Armies of white winged creatures trailed and descended from the light source singing in a chorus of exultation. Majestic and confounding voices singing different tones ironically seemed to sing in unison. Like a chord as complex in a grand piano, the notes seemed inseparable. Heavenly voices, oh he hears!

Jubilate, jubilate Deo!
Jubilate! Jubilate Deo!

The once busy world and all its contents stopped revolving in both praise and respect to the One. The thirst of endless longing now quenched with hope and salvation. It was a moment when every doubt and uncertainty was given reassurance - a fulfilled promise after eons of darkness and reigns of bogus prime ministers, phony emperors, and faux kings. It was perfect tranquility. As serene,as the gentle rippling waves on river Nile.

Servite Domino!
In laetitia servite Domino!
Intrate, intrate!
Inconspectu ejus in exultatio!

Every soul fell silent. Noise of muteness crawling all over the earth. Every angle and scene in complete stillness. The clock’s unstoppable hands finally was brought to a standstill at three quarter. History became futile and lost its purpose. The angel’s chorus finished as the winged ones’ feet touched the once chaste, now unchaste land.

Quia Dominus! Exultatio!
Ipse est deus, Deus!
Deus, deus!
Deus, deus!

Amid the quietness, the servant’s frail mind was in chaos. This perfection he cannot fully comprehend. His mind too shallow… too closed to wit… too confined to reason. He tried to collect all wisdom he earned throughout the years, but at that moment of motionlessness, even a single memory he could not grasp. He tried so hard, scrupulously forcing his recall until it subdued and reached a point of exasperation. Every brain cell exhausted, vibrating endlessly to a fading glissando…
