Artistic Detachment

The review for the board exams had been cognitively taxing for me. After a week of comprehensive exams, I had to satisfy my urge of doing something light and creative. I bought two cans of textile paint and re-painted my own DIY shirt! You might have seen this design already as this was the one I was supposed to pass for the ARTWORK shirt design contest (but ended up not doing so since I found it too conventional). With my new apple green paint, I painted my stick figure with green hair and made his shirt a checkered one.

I have little experience painting with textile paint so the end product wasn't as smooth as I had planned. I'm happy with it anyway. It was a fun diversion from review :)

  2. Try using stencils with either textile paint or spray paint. It will have a great effect because the texture will be smooth / printed-like and the width of the lines are gonna be thin once it has dried up. :) -G
