Anti-Angry Bird Bill? Screw Winston Castelo!

I am distressed knowing that a lot of people are sharing the link, expressing their frustrations, and going bonkers on the alleged new bill by Quezon City Rep. Winston Castelo. The bill, according to the article by So What's News? , points to the lack of product diversity because of the dominating role of Angry Birds in the Philippine market.

Talk about being sentenced by this for violating the bill:

"6 months in solitary confinement to a special facility called “The Angry Birds Room” inside the New Bilibid Prison. The room will be composed of an Angry Birds toilet, sink, tissue paper & soap, as well as walls painted with scenes from the game. Eating utensils for the inmate will also come standard with the said designs. Vendors who are found guilty are also subject to the confiscation of the prohibited items which will then be burned or donated to “The Angry Birds Room” - SWN

Whoever blogger who wrote this is ingenious. This surely added traffic to his site. Well some people apparently found no humor in this and started posting comments, putting an uncalled-for bad light on our legislators.

If you would read the article, the humor in it was like a give way labelled with a tag that says, "I'm a giveaway!".

Based from this issue, this goes to show that:
  1. Blogs are becoming more influential in shaping people's opinion.
  2. Filipinos do read, but due to the apparent preference for convenience, had evolved into a generation of skip readers or worse, title readers.
  3. The cognitive faculties of the people are starting to atrophy due to non-use.
Come on. Help dispel ignorance by sharing this.

  3. Very true. Filipinos are starting to read but more "selective" readers. But I guess that's a start? *facepalm*
